Characteristics and Structural Principles of Pneumatic O-Type Cut-off Ball Valve

2025-12-26

The  pneumatic  O-type shut-off ball valve is composed of a pneumatic double-acting Actuator. It features a simple structure, compact size, lightweight, and easy operation, making it widely applicable for automatic regulation and remote control in industrial production processes such as petroleum, chemical, hydropower, and light industry.

The O-ring ball valve consists of components such as the valve body, ball, valve shaft, sealing ring, packing, and pressure plate. The Actuator is composed of main parts including the air cylinder, piston, gear type, output shaft, cylinder cover, bearing, guide ring, piston bushing, adjustment bolt, and "O"-ring.

The principle involves connecting the  actuator  to the valve with a connecting shaft. When compressed air is introduced into the cylinder, it generates a certain thrust on the piston, driving the gear-type output. Under the piston's push, the gear output shaft rotates, causing the valve shaft to turn. This rotation makes the ball valve's sphere rotate inside the valve, altering the flow area to achieve the goal of changing the medium flow rate through the valve.
