Daily Maintenance of Electric Valves

2025-12-22

1.  Electric  valves should be stored in a dry, ventilated indoor area, with both ends of the passage blocked.
2. Electric valves stored for long periods should be inspected regularly, and anti-rust oil should be applied to the machined surfaces.
3. After installation, regular inspections should be conducted, with the main inspection items being:
(1) The wear condition of the sealing surface.
(2) The wear condition of the trapezoidal threads on the valve stem and valve stem nut.
(3) Check whether the filler is outdated or failed, and replace it promptly if damaged.
(4) After maintenance and assembly of the electric valve, a sealing performance test should be conducted.
For electric valves in operation, all components must be complete and in good condition. Bolts on flanges, threads, and supports must not be missing, and threads should remain intact without looseness. If fastening nuts on the handwheel are found loose, they should be tightened promptly to prevent wear at the connection or loss of the handwheel and nameplate. If the handwheel is missing, it must not be replaced with a pipe wrench; a replacement should be provided immediately. The packing gland must not be tilted or lack preload clearance. For electric valves in environments prone to contamination from rain, snow, dust, or sand, the valve stem should be equipped with a protective cover. The scale on electric valves must remain intact, accurate, and legible. The lead seal, cover cap, Pneumatic Accessories, and other components of the electric valve should be complete and in good condition. The insulation jacket must show no dents or cracks.
Do not strike, stand on, or support heavy objects on electric valves in operation; especially for non-metallic and cast iron  electric valves, such actions are strictly prohibited.
