The pneumatic PTFE butterfly valve, as the name suggests, is installed by clamping the butterfly valve between the flanges at both ends of the pipeline using a pair of bolts that pass through the bolt holes. The pneumatic clamp butterfly valve features a compact body with relatively thin thickness, making it particularly suitable for applications where the distance between the two ends of the pipeline is short or space is limited. Depending on the sealing structure, pneumatic clamp butterfly valves are categorized into soft-sealed and metal-sealed types. Soft-sealed butterfly valves adopt a midline structure, offering advantages such as corrosion resistance and zero leakage, while hard-sealed butterfly valves feature a triple eccentric design, providing benefits like reduced wear and extended service life.
The pneumatic clamp butterfly valve operates with a compressed air source at 0.4-0.7 MPa, driving the valve stem to rotate the butterfly plate within the valve body by 0-90 degrees, enabling full open and full close control. Depending on operational requirements, the pneumatic clamp butterfly valve can be equipped with a valve positioner on the Actuator, allowing input of 4-20mA signals to adjust the butterfly plate's opening degree. This enables precise percentage regulation of parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, and liquid level in pipelines. The pneumatic clamp butterfly valve is suitable for both local control in industrial automatic systems and remote centralized control, making it one of the preferred system devices for industrial pipeline applications.

Pneumatic clamp butterfly valves are generally not suitable for the end of pipelines and downstream situations that require disassembly, because when the downstream flange is disassembled, the clamp type valve will fall off, and in this case, a short joint must be made separately for disassembly. Flange butterfly valves do not have the above problems, but the cost will be relatively high.
Pneumatic clamp butterfly valves and flange butterfly valves have the same purpose, both of which are used to switch or adjust the flow rate of the medium. The difference between them lies in their installation form. When the pressure is too high, it is generally recommended to use flange butterfly valves, which are also recommended for dangerous fluids.
