What is the reason for the slow response of Rack & Pinion pneumatic actuators?

2025-08-20

Nowadays, many Rack & Pinion  pneumatic actuators  may encounter different situations when used in different environments, such as aging accessories, aging components, replacement of original valves, gas supply system failures, etc. So, how to solve the slow response of Rack & Pinion Pneumatic Actuators?

1. The standard air supply pressure for most Pneumatic Actuators is 0.4-0.7MPa. First, check if the air supply pressure of the Pneumatic Actuator is too low. If it is lower than the above air supply pressure, it needs to be corrected and dealt with in a timely manner.

2.Check whether the Solenoid Valve is operating normally, whether the switching is normal, and whether the exhaust is smooth. If the Solenoid Valve is found to be malfunctioning during daily inspections, it should be repaired and replaced in a timely manner, or the manufacturer should be contacted for maintenance and handling. The longer the delay, the greater the loss.

3. If a single acting pneumatic actuator experiences slow movement or shaking, it is necessary to check whether the exhaust side pipeline is blocked, whether the Solenoid Valve is malfunctioning, and whether the spring inside the actuator is too rigid. If the cause cannot be determined, contact the manufacturer in a timely manner for resolution.

4. Recheck whether the output torque of the actuator of this model matches the current valve body. When the rated output torque is less than the required torque of the valve body, there may also be slow or shaking movements. In such cases, replace the valve or replace the pneumatic actuator model.

After reading the above content, I believe everyone already knows the solution to the slow response of Rack & Pinion  pneumatic actuators .
